Clocking & time entries
Requesting a time entry edit
Ask your manager to correct a recorded time entry, including its breaks.
Asking for a change
You can't change a recorded entry yourself, but you can ask. On the Timesheet page, open the row menu on the entry and choose Request edit.
In the Request edit dialog, change only what is wrong: In time, Out time, or Job when your workspace uses jobs.
Use Breaks to build the complete set of break corrections:
- Press Add missing break, enter its type and times, then press Save break.
- Press the pencil beside a recorded break to correct its times or type, then press Save break.
- Press the trash button beside a recorded break to mark it for removal.
- Add or correct another break, or use the undo button to discard a staged change.
One request can combine time, job, and several break changes. Check the staged break list, use Comment (optional) if your manager needs context, then press Submit request.
Edit requests fix an entry that already exists. To add a shift you never clocked, ask your manager to add the entry for you.
After you submit
Your request goes to a manager to review, and you're notified when it's approved or rejected. Until then it stays pending — reopen the entry and press Cancel request if you change your mind. Only one request for the entry can be pending at a time; after your manager decides, you can submit another request if the entry still needs work.
You can request a correction even after the timesheet was approved. The entry and its breaks stay unchanged until a manager approves the request.
Common questions
- Can't I just edit my own time entry?
No — recorded entries change through a request a manager reviews, which keeps the record accurate. Managers can edit entries directly.
- I forgot to clock an entire shift.
An edit request changes an existing entry. For a shift you never recorded, ask your manager to add it for you.
- I forgot more than one break.
Add each missing break under Breaks and press Save break after each one. Submit once the staged list includes every correction you want your manager to review.
