Clock-in options

Give paid staff a clear way to start the workday.

Let office and service staff clock in from a browser.

The employee chooses a ministry or event Job before clocking in, so the work area stays with the time entry.

Keep a phone-call option for staff away from a screen.

A personal PIN, the calling number, and an optional voice check help identify the employee and preserve the clock event.

Share one PIN clock at the church.

Choose which paid employees can use the kiosk. Optional photos attach identity evidence without blocking the time entry if the camera fails.

One service week

Keep weekday work and weekend services on one employee schedule.

Publish paid shifts with the right Job and note. Clockspot records employee time around the service plan; it does not plan worship, manage events, or schedule volunteers.

A focused system boundary

Track paid staff time beside the systems that run the church.

Clockspot keeps the paid employee work record clear. Volunteer, member, worship, giving, accounting, and clergy-payroll systems keep doing their own jobs.

Common questions

Get straight answers about church staff time.

  • Built for paid employee time records
  • Keeps ministry and event Jobs with hours
  • Makes corrections reviewable
Can a church track paid staff hours by ministry or event?

Yes. Set up Weekend Services, Nursery, Facilities, Production, Church Office, or other work areas as Clockspot Jobs. The selected Job stays with the time entry and appears in Job Hours. A Clockspot Job is one flat time category, not a ministry-management, event, fund, budget, or accounting record.

Can paid employees switch Jobs during one workday?

Yes. An employee can choose a Job when clocking in and switch Jobs while still clocked in. Each resulting time segment keeps its selected Job for manager review and reporting.

Can Clockspot manage church volunteers or member attendance?

No. Clockspot is built for employee timekeeping. It does not provide volunteer profiles, opportunity signup, service-hour verification, congregation attendance, member records, child check-in, or volunteer communications. Use a church or volunteer-management system for those records.

Does Clockspot handle clergy payroll or church accounting?

No. Clockspot records and exports employee time. It does not decide worker classification, calculate clergy tax treatment or housing allowances, process payroll, file taxes, keep church books, or connect to QuickBooks Online. Your church and its advisers decide how each worker and payment should be handled.

Can each campus manager see only that campus?

Not currently. Clockspot administrators can see account-wide employee information. Locations and Jobs can organize campus and ministry work, but they do not create campus-limited or ministry-limited manager permissions.

How do reviewed church employee hours reach payroll?

Employees can request corrections with a reason. Administrators review entries and approve the pay period, then download CSV, Excel, or PDF reports or use a configured export file. Clockspot prepares employee-time records but does not process payroll or connect those records to a church-management or accounting system.
