One repeatable setup

Use the same timekeeping process at every location.

Use jobs to label stores or locations, give employees a consistent way to clock in, and review the entire pay period in one Clockspot workspace.

Organize employee hours by location.

Use jobs to label stores, locations, departments, or other work categories and assign them to the right employees. Job Hours then gives the office a clear location-by-location review.

Let employees record where they worked.

Employees can clock in from their own account or a shared browser kiosk with personal PINs. They select an assigned location label, and it stays on the time entry.

Review every location before payroll.

Check current employee status, Job Hours, Work Site attribution, clock verification, corrections, overtime, and approvals before downloading payroll records.

One employee, two locations

Keep one employee's hours together across locations.

See the shifts, breaks, location labels, and corrections in one workweek instead of comparing separate time cards for each store.

Let the employee choose either location when clocking in.

Assign both location jobs to the employee. Clockspot then shows those choices when they clock in. The location choice labels the employee's time. It does not change which employees an Administrator can access.

Two-location workweek

Employee workweek

Ready to review
  1. Oak Street shift published

  2. Break recorded at Oak Street

  3. Riverside shift added to the same workweek

  4. Hours from both locations ready to review

Two locations, one employee workweek, one payroll review.

Location staff qualifications

Check food and alcohol-service qualifications across every franchise location.

Record accepted employee certifications, then require them for a role, location Job, or Work Site. Clockspot evaluates the rules that match each shift even when employees work across units.

  • Use rules that match the work

Apply each requirement to a Work Type, Job, or Work Site. Clockspot combines every rule that matches the shift.

  • Catch missing or expired records early

Candidate checks use the shift date, so a record that expires before the work begins does not look current.

  • Keep each scheduling decision with the shift

Shift history records whether each requirement was satisfied or overridden, along with the accepted record or manager reason.

A focused system boundary

Use Clockspot for employee time, not franchise operations.

Clockspot tracks paid employee time in one workspace. Owners decide whether each Administrator can manage everyone or only assigned employees. Keep sales, royalties, accounting, payroll processing, and other franchise operations in the systems built for them.

Clockspot tracks

Employee time across your locations

  • Administrator access to everyone or only assigned employees
  • Employee schedules, clock events, and location labels
  • Breaks, corrections, overtime, and approvals
  • Reports by job and location, plus payroll readiness and exports

Other systems handle

Franchise operations and processed payroll

  • Franchisor relationships, legal entities, and territories
  • Royalties, fees, operating manuals, and brand standards
  • POS sales, customers, inventory, tasks, and location operations
  • Accounting, tax filing, payroll calculation, and payment

Common questions

Does Clockspot work for businesses with multiple locations?

  • Organize employee time by location
  • Keep one workweek per employee
  • Know what stays in your other systems
Is Clockspot for a franchise owner or a franchisor?

This page is for a franchisee or multi-unit operator tracking paid employees inside one Clockspot workspace. Clockspot does not provide a franchisor dashboard, combine separate franchisee accounts, sell franchises, manage territories, collect royalties, or enforce brand standards.

Can we organize employee time by location?

Yes. Create a Work Site for each physical workplace and a job for each work category, department, project, or cost code. A job can be associated with one or more Work Sites, while employees select the job that describes what their hours were for.

What if an employee works at more than one location?

Associate the relevant jobs with each Work Site, then add the job to a published shift or let the employee choose it when clocking in. Clockspot keeps every entry for the employee in one workweek for review. It does not automatically schedule or move employees between sites.

Can managers or floating employees record mileage between locations?

Yes. Employees can record a work trip’s date, distance, purpose, origin, destination, and optional location job or Work Site. Administrators get one reviewable trip history for reimbursement or business-mileage preparation; Clockspot does not automatically track the route.

How is a job different from a Work Site?

A job describes what the hours were for; a Work Site identifies the physical place where work happened. GPS areas, approved IP networks, browsers, and phone caller IDs verify clock events. Each approval can optionally be associated with a Work Site, but it is not itself a Work Site.

Does Clockspot connect to our POS, payroll, or franchise system?

Clockspot can send approved employee time directly to QuickBooks Online and create configured payroll export files. It does not replace a POS, franchise-management system, accounting workflow, or payroll processor; those systems continue to handle sales, royalties, accounting, and payroll.

Does Clockspot run payroll?

No. Clockspot helps managers review clock events, breaks, corrections, overtime, approvals, Job Hours, Work Site reports, and payroll-readiness issues, then download export files. Your payroll provider still calculates, files, and pays payroll, and one Clockspot workspace does not separate different legal employers for payroll.
