Is Clockspot for a franchise owner or a franchisor?
This page is for a franchisee or multi-unit operator tracking paid employees inside one Clockspot workspace. Clockspot does not provide a franchisor dashboard, combine separate franchisee accounts, sell franchises, manage territories, collect royalties, or enforce brand standards.
Can we organize employee time by location?
Yes. Create jobs for locations, stores, departments, roles, or other work categories, then assign them to everyone or selected employees. Employees can select the right label on new time entries, and Job Hours can show completed time by job and employee. A job is a time label, not a separate business entity.
What if an employee works at more than one location?
Assign each location job to the employee, then add the relevant job to a published shift or let the employee choose it when clocking in. Clockspot keeps every entry for the employee in one workweek for review. It does not automatically share, schedule, or move employees between locations.
How is a location label different from a clock location?
A location label is a job the employer creates and employees select on their time entries. A clock location is a place Clockspot recognizes from a clock event by GPS, IP address, a registered browser, or an approved phone number. Clock locations do not continuously track employees.
Does Clockspot connect to our POS, payroll, or franchise system?
No. Clockspot does not currently offer POS, QuickBooks Online, payroll, accounting, or franchise-management integrations. It prepares reviewed reports and export files for payroll, and your other systems continue to handle sales, royalties, accounting, and payroll processing.
Does Clockspot run payroll?
No. Clockspot helps managers review clock events, breaks, corrections, overtime, approvals, Job Hours, location reports, and payroll-readiness issues, then download export files. Your payroll provider still calculates, files, and pays payroll, and one Clockspot workspace does not separate different legal employers for payroll.
