Clock-in choices

Give every employee a practical way to start the workday.

Drivers and fixed-location employees can use different clock-in methods while the office reviews one workweek.

Drivers clock in from a phone or computer.

Employees choose the route or job from their own account. Eligible clock events can include GPS, IP, and device context when shared.

Employees can call in when a browser is not practical.

A landline or cell-phone call records the employee, private PIN, optional job code, calling number, and voice check.

Dispatch and yard staff can share a kiosk.

Employees beginning at one location can use a shared tablet or computer with their own name and PIN.

Route and job hours

Keep each hour with the route or job it supports.

A Clockspot job can represent a route, assignment, vehicle-cleaning task, training, or another work category. Clients identify customer accounts, while work sites identify dispatch offices and terminals.

When an eligible employee-account clock event includes shared location, the manager can review that event context with the time record.

After a work trip

Clockspot Mileage gives drivers one place to record work trips for office review.

Employees add the date, distance, business purpose, origin, and destination after a work trip. Clockspot keeps the entry available for office review or export.

  • Record trip details while the drive is still fresh

  • Give the office one mileage history to search or export

  • Keep corrections and voids visible in the record

Common questions

Questions transportation companies ask before changing time clocks.

  • Driver and office clock-ins
  • Hours by route or job
  • Review before payroll
Can drivers clock in away from the office?

Yes. Drivers can clock in from their own Clockspot account on a phone or computer. When the employee shares the required details, an eligible clock event can include GPS, IP, and device context for manager review.

Can we track employee hours by route or job?

Yes. A Clockspot job can represent a route, assignment, vehicle-cleaning task, training, or another work category. Use clients for customer accounts and work sites for dispatch offices or terminals. Employees choose the job when they clock in, and managers can review Job Hours later.

Can drivers record mileage for work trips?

Yes. Drivers can manually record a trip’s date, distance, purpose, origin, destination, and optional route job or work site. Managers get one reviewable trip history; Clockspot does not read a vehicle odometer, track a route automatically, or replace fleet telematics.

What works when using a browser is not practical?

Employees can call Clockspot from a landline or cell phone, enter their employee ID and PIN, and follow the prompts. The telephone record can include the calling number, selected job code, and voice check; it does not include GPS.

How do managers fix a missed punch or route change?

Managers can find open entries, add or edit time, change the selected job, and review employee correction requests with reasons attached. The reviewed timesheet can then be approved before reports or export.

Does Clockspot replace dispatch, an ELD, fleet, or payroll software?

No. Clockspot is for employee time, manually recorded work trips, corrections, approvals, reports, and configured exports. Dispatch, route optimization, vehicles, continuous GPS, ELD and hours-of-service compliance, fuel, maintenance, payroll processing, billing, and accounting stay in their own systems.
