From guard post to payroll

Know which post every guard hour belongs to.

Keep the site label and the details available from that clock-in method with the entry, then resolve exceptions before approval.

Clock in at the assigned post.

Guards use their own account, a shared kiosk, or a phone call when internet at the site is unreliable.

See which client site the hours belong to.

A selected job can identify the post, contract, facility, or other work category the office reviews.

Resolve missing punches before approval.

Employees request corrections with a reason so supervisors can compare the change with the original entry.

Clock-in options for every post

Give guards a reliable way to clock in at every post.

Choose the method that fits each site. Every clock-in still reaches one Clockspot account for review.

Clock in from a phone or computer.

Guards sign in to their own account, choose the assigned post, and record the start or end of work.

Set up a shared kiosk at the desk, gate, or office.

Each guard uses a personal PIN on a shared tablet or computer and selects the post when needed.

Call in when internet at the site is unreliable.

A landline or cell phone call records the employee, PIN, optional post code, calling number, and voice check.

When a guard clocks in

Team Updates give guards the current post instructions after clock-in.

Clockspot shows the matching update after an employee clocks in. Use it for post or facility changes guards need at the start of work, then require confirmation when the message matters.

  • Put current post instructions where guards begin work

  • Reduce dispatch calls and repeated reminders

  • See who confirmed the update and who is still waiting

Common questions

Answers about guard clock-ins, GPS, and patrol software.

  • Post clock-ins
  • Client-site reports
  • Corrections before approval
Is Clockspot guard-tour or patrol software?
No. Clockspot is focused employee time-tracking software for payroll-ready records. It does not replace guard tours, checkpoints, incident or daily-activity reports, dispatch, post orders, live patrol tracking, client billing, or payroll processing.
Can guards clock in from a post with unreliable internet?
Yes. A guard can call Clockspot from a landline or cell phone. The entry keeps the calling number and a voice check instead of GPS, and the call does not require internet at the post.
Can guard hours be organized by client site or post?
Yes. Use a client for the customer, a job for the post or contract assignment, and a work site for the facility. Guards select the job when they clock in, or enter a job code during a phone call.
Can mobile patrol employees record work mileage?
Yes. Patrol employees can record a trip’s date, distance, business purpose, origin, destination, and optional patrol job or work site. Managers get one reviewable history for mileage preparation; Clockspot does not continuously track patrol routes or replace guard-tour software.
Does Clockspot track guards throughout the shift?
No. When a guard clocks in or out from their own account and the device shares its location, Clockspot can attach GPS details to that clock event. It does not continuously track a guard between clock events.

Try Clockspot with one guard post next pay period.

Add the guards and post label, choose the clock-in method that fits the site, and review complete hours before payroll.
