Connecting Clockspot to Claude

Add Clockspot to Claude

Until Clockspot appears in Claude's connector directory, add it as a custom connector:

1. Open Settings in Claude, then open Connectors.
2. Choose Add custom connector.
3. Enter Clockspot as the name and https://api.clockspot.com/v1/mcp as the remote MCP server URL.
4. Add the connector, then choose Connect.
5. Sign in to Clockspot and continue to the access review.

Your Claude plan or organization settings must allow connectors. After Clockspot is published in Claude's directory, you can select its directory listing instead of entering the server URL.

Connect your Clockspot account

The Clockspot connection screen shows the account and permissions Claude is asking to use. If you belong to more than one Clockspot account, choose the account you want to connect.

If the wrong account is selected, cancel and restart the connection from Claude.

Review permissions

Depending on the request, the permission screen may include:

• Account — company, employees, jobs, locations, and clock-in setup.
• Employees — access levels, statuses, hire dates, invitations, jobs, and assignments.
• Time tracking — time entries, timesheet approvals, and edit requests.
• Time off — requests, entries, balances, types, and accrual rules.
• Pay rates — pay history, payroll reports, employee rates, or job rates.
• Rules — overtime rules, schedules, workweek start day, and rounding.
• Reports — available reports, results, filters, and downloads.

Only approve the connection if the account and permissions look right. If the screen says the connection is read-only, Claude cannot edit Clockspot.

Ask Claude about employee time

In a new conversation, ask for the outcome you want. For example:

• Who is clocked in right now?
• Why is payroll not ready?
• Which timesheets still need attention?
• What should I finish before employees use the kiosk?

Remove access

Open Settings and Connectors in Claude when you want to disconnect or remove Clockspot. Removing a connector does not necessarily end an existing Clockspot authorization, so remove the connection there as well when you no longer want Claude to use your account.
